Cushman & Wakefield Gala

Last night was nothing short of powerful.

I had the honour of speaking at Cushman & Wakefield’s Fundraising Gala in support of BridgeNorth an organization that has been nothing less than life-saving for me.

This evening was about empowerment—empowering youth and adults alike to recognize the signs of human trafficking and take action. To now share my story as a survivor, where I once stood as a participant of BridgeNorth fleeing from my trafficker, was a true full-circle moment.

BridgeNorth —and Casandra Diamond played a fundamental role in helping me reclaim my life. Cassandra, thank you for being the reason I’m still here. Your work continues to change lives.

A special thank you to Sarina Sidoti and Julia DiCesare for organizing such a beautiful and impactful event. Sarina Sidoti connecting with you by chance and being invited to speak was a moment I’ll never forget. Your bravery and voice are a force to be reckoned with, and I am so grateful our paths crossed again.

To Susan Orlando, thank you for your continued commitment to prosecuting these crimes with rigorous advocacy. You are a force to be reckoned with, and your unwavering dedication to justice and to survivors does not go unnoticed. Thank you for standing with us and for us.

Here’s to the power of storytelling, the strength of survivors, and the change we can create when we come together.
